Romero & Braas crew filming a documentary in a Mexican market
Originals · Development · Co-production

Original formats and documentaries from Latin America.

Stories with access you cannot buy — developed for European and US commissioners.

What we develop

Development happens where the stories are.

Our teams research, cast and shoot in the region. A package arrives on your desk with the access already secured — not promised.

Research & story development

Field research, access negotiation and story architecture on the ground. We find the people and the tension before a treatment is written.

Character-driven documentaries

Singles and series built around protagonists with real stakes. Access developed over months on the ground, not booked over email.

Format creation

Original non-scripted formats designed for international adaptation — with Latin American settings as a production advantage, not a backdrop.

Teaser production

Proof on screen. We shoot teasers and sizzle material with our own crews to move a project from paper to commission.

Co-production packaging

Treatment, budget, incentive structure and local partners assembled into one package a commissioner can approve.

Branded entertainment

Narrative brand integration written into the format from the first draft. Part of the story world — not ad breaks bolted on after.

How to work with us

Three ways in.

Commissioners

You have slots to fill and budgets under scrutiny. Request the current slate — if a project fits, the next call includes the creative team.

  1. Request the slate under NDA.
  2. Flag the titles that fit your slots.
  3. Creative call with the development team.

Co-producers

Develop with us from treatment up. We bring access, local production and incentive strategy — you bring commissioning relationships and finance.

  1. Share the idea, or the gap in your slate.
  2. We build treatment, access and budget.
  3. The package goes out under both names.

Brands

Narrative integration built into formats at development stage — where placement decisions hold, instead of being retrofitted in post.

  1. Brief us on brand, market and audience.
  2. Integration is written into the format itself.
  3. Your brand carries story function, not airtime.

The slate

The current slate is shared on request.

Why Latin America, now

Familiar screens, unfamiliar stories.

European and US slates keep returning to the same places. Latin American stories remain underrepresented — not for lack of material, but for lack of partners who can develop them to commissioning standard.

The economics work in the producer's favour. Local crews, year-round shooting weather and incentive programs across Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic put more of every euro on screen.

And the locations carry premium formats on their own. Mexico has carried the biggest productions in history; the coastlines, villas and cities we develop in read premium before a single set is dressed.
